Looks like I'm back in the thick of the Harry Potter RPing world.

Oh yeah... Friends Only - guess I forgot to post that up there.
Not that I really write much here anyhow, during the non-NaNo season.

Lacking

cranky

current location: My Bed.
current mood: cranky
current song: Burn - JoDee Messina

Eh, I haven't really had a whole lot of inspiration lately. It's kind of depressing to pick up a notebook, a pen, and just stare at the blank page with nothing coming to mind that would fit. I don't think that I like it, and want this 'writing block' to go away and leave me alone.

Writings Update

I haven't posted here for awhile... but my hardback journal is getting plenty of use!

When it comes to writing, I have managed to write several poems and a short story in the past month. The poems are nothing special, though one was for a birthday present, and the short story was basically just a drabble that I scribbled out while I was sitting in class, bored out of my skull.

Failure

disappointed

current mood: disappointed

University proved to be too much for me in combination with NaNoWriMo, and it is on that note that I must admit that I failed in my attempt to finish the 50,000 word story this time around.

I'm not giving up on the story, and I'm going to keep all that I have writen and all the notes I wrote before I began, but I'm not writing on it anymore right now.

And I will be trying NaNo again next year. Because I'm just that damn insane.

8 days?!

October 23rd, 2006 (02:40 pm)
busy

current mood: busy
current song: Memory - Sugarcult

There are only eight days left until November and I still do not have a very developed plot... heh, and I can't very well develop one now. Too busy studying for the last of my midterms. But once I get a break from that I'll... fuck, no that doesn't work either, because I have the Haunted Bog to work on all this weekend and a trip to make to Munising with Ashley for that political speech on Thursday... damn this week looks like it's going to be a very busy sort of hell. I even have a meeting tonight that I have to go to for decorating the house for Halloween. Theme: Alice in Wonderland.

But writing-wise I've been working more on my Kaylee/River ficlets so that I can get them finished before November does get here. 23/30 done as of a couple hours ago.

I am going to manage to do NaNoWriMo despite all of this school work and activities that I'm involved with... I really am.

NaNo Draws Nearer....

October 11th, 2006 (12:23 am)
worried

current mood: worried

And still I am not fully sure on what exactly I'm going to be writing!!! This time last year I was already on my outline with details for characters and plot well in the works. *twitch* I am way behind this year, it would seem, waaaay behind. Please don't let it turn out like my first year when I only got 15,000 words written... I think I'd have to cry.

I did come up with a possible, very basic outline for what the story could be. It's an expansion of one of my previous ideas mixed with an idea that I've had floating around in my head since mid-March. The title's already picked out and that is one of the parts that I really, really like. She Might Shatter. And the character whom the title regards isn't even the main one, and the story is never from her point-of-view. It's kinda weird, yeah, but that's one of the reasons why I think it could be fun to write. A different way of going about it.

There's my writing babble for the day.

Countdown/Ideas

My Ticker for NaNoWriMo!!

Following are my random ideas for what it is that I will be writing for this year's NaNo. I would just like to state right here and now that I fully believe I am insane, or very close to it, for doing this again. Especially since this is the first time I will be attempting it while I am also going to college. '04 was my senior year of high school, followed by my fall semester of '05 doing no schooling. But now... college. Ugh.

-Something loosely based off of what this year has been like in my life so far. Trust me, it could be pretty damn interesting. If you're one of my friends who reads my actual LJ then you've gotten bits and pieces of the whole matter. If you're one of the friends whose been there for it all, then you really get it. The main character would be based off of me (since it'd be like my life), but there would be changes. Eh... this is probably the least likely one I'll go with.

-(NOTE: This one is really... out there and definitely not just fiction. More like fiction mixed heavily with fantasy.) A couple of friends are wandering around this small riverbed that they never knew existed. They keep going, and the further they go, the more things seem to change. Until it's to the point where the trees are bigger than they could possibly be and the only sounds that they hear are of nature. No cars, no music. Because they accidentally wandered through a 'portal' of sorts that landed them in another world. Not quite sure if I want this world to be a fantasy based one, or just set waaaaaaay back when.

-Several more, but they are not yet developed far enough to be mentioned. Yepyep.

NaNo '06

current song: The Show Must Go On - Moulin Rogue

It's getting close to that time again; November. And one of the most important parts of November would be National Novel Writing Month, a.k.a. NaNoWriMo. This will be my third year partaking in it, and I'm still not fully sure of what I'm going to write about. Have multiple ideas going about in my head, but none have full form yet. And they're not going to get full form until I put effort to it, which is not going to happen until I finish going through my Anishinaabe again. So not falling asleep in class there tomorrow.
